Established in 1978….
We are a fine dining establishment which was originally in North Salem NY. We moved to our current location in Brewster which is a Craftsman style private home built in 1929.
Over the years our menu has evolved from strictly French to a more eclectic offering. The classic dishes are still a mainstay here.
Think House Cured Gravlox, Sizzling Escargot, Baked French Onion Soup, Beef Wellington and Grand Marnier Souffle to name a few…Mix in seasonal items such as Fiddle Head Ferns, Spring Ramps, Arctic Char and Elk Medallions and you may find it hard to decide….
The field stone fireplace is a focal point of the main dining room in winter and the cozy outdoor patio is a perfect place to enjoy cocktails, brunch or dinner in the warmer months.

We host engagements, intimate wedding receptions, bridal and baby showers and have an ideal location for small corporate dinner functions in our private rooms. Birthdays, anniversaries and family gatherings are often celebrated here. We particularly love to surprise…

Chef George’s Bio:
Born in Germany and trained in Hotel Management in Vienna, Chef George has worked in the culinary arts since the 1950’s in Panama, Venezuela, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. He also worked for Hilton International in the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. He moved on to work in Miami at the Fontainbleau and Rooney Plaza Resorts. Discovered by Craig Claiborne in 1959 as executive chef at The Arch in North Salem, he became full owner in 1969 and has continued his culinary career in Putnam County NY to the present.
